Three frontrunners to redesign the Government portal revealed
The Ministry of ICT and Innovation in partnership with Rwanda Information Society Authority, Office of the Government Spokesperson and other partners, revealed three (3) winners of UX Challenge to redesign Government website. It happened on Friday, December 07, 2018.
Awesomity Lab Team, Team Tsuki of Didier Tsuki Rutayomba and Innotech Team emerged as the winners of the competition.
Speaking to the competitors, Claudette IRERE: The Permanent Secretary of The Ministry of ICT and Innovation, commended their courage and pledged to keep working with the winners until the government website is launched.
“Firstly, I thank you for making it in the top ten. We had more than eighty applicants and you made it. Secondly, I thank you for taking your time for the boot camp. Thirdly, you really used the effort required.”
“I would like to thank the winners, and tell them that this is just the beginning. A lot of work is coming: which is to build the backend. We shall work closely with you to make sure the backend fits with the frontend and we have a product to launch by February 2019.”
Additionally, she had a message for key partners who helped to make the competition successful. “I would like to thank all the partners for supporting us.” added Claudette.
Awesomity Lab received a prize of 5,000,000 Frw, Team Tsuki received 3,000,000 Frw and Innotech got a prize of 2,000,000 Frw. The tree teams will continue working with Rwanda Information Society Authority on further web development projects.
