The joint sector review meeting held today
On this Thursday, June 24, 2021, in partnership with JICA Rwanda, we organized a joint sector review meeting which brought together all sector working group stakeholders to engage in policy dialogue and to ensure ownership, accountability and transparency of the NST1 implementation and monitoring process.
“It is important to look at the various targets that we have set for ourselves but also how we are collectively contributing towards those targets and we learn from each other. It is also an opportunity to look at where we have been able to make progress and discuss ways that we can sustain that progress.” MINICT’s Permanent Secretary Yves Iradukunda delivering his opening remarks
“This is a call to every institution or organization representative; ‘how can we make sure that the interventions we are making can truly touch the citizens?’” Adds PS Iradukunda
The objectives of the meeting include presenting and discussing areas prioritized during the planning and budgeting process, discussing and validating the 2021/22 sector targets and related policy actions, selecting policy related studies to be conducted in 2021/22 fiscal year, assessing progress towards implementation of the fiscal year 2020/21 policy actions and providing the latest status on SDGs indicators already monitored by sectors and review the progress against the implementation of the plans and strategies to monitor the additional SDG indicators currently having clear computation methodologies
