Murekatete urges youth to dream big, innovate to be successful

Clarisse Murekatete, the Chief Marketing Officer at CARL Group Ltd asks fellows young Rwandans to dream big and be innovative in order to succeed in their life.
CARL Group Ltd, the winner of the first ever DOT Rwanda business plan competition makes cakes, breads, biscuits and Spaghetti from sweet potatoes.
The DOT Rwanda business plan competition winner got 2,5 Million Rwandan Francs, the first runner up got 2 Million and the second runner up got 1,5 Million. Themed "Gera ku Ntego: youth breaking the cycle of poverty”, the competition focused on empowerment, innovation, business model generation, business plan writing, entrepreneurship and financial literacy. Speaking at the awarding ceremony, Rosemary MBABAZI, the Permanent Secretary (PS) in the Ministry of Youth and ICT, one of key partners in this competition, urged Young Rwandans to work hard, embrace saving culture and look for solutions that Rwandan society faces. “Our country want to see young generation who creates jobs instead of seeking jobs. There is hope in our future Generation, the young people who are innovative at this level means that they don’t fear to take risks” PS Mbabazi revealed. This first business plan Competition have been organized by DOT Rwanda in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and ICT, The National Youth Council, Rwanda Development Board, GT Bank, Azam TV, Bralirwa, Frontiers Adventures among others.
